Dear Yolanda, Lydia and Family,
I can't begin to tell you how much your mother meant to me.
In the short time I knew her she quickly became a best friend and more like a mother to me.
We spent hours upon hours laughing and telling stories about her past and about her loving husband Saul.
My life will never be the same without Dorothy. I love her and miss her dearly.
Often we were going to the doctor's office and talking, then going out to lunch. Oh, I wish the hours we could have spent together could have gone on forever.
I miss all the loving hugs and kisses. Dorothy was and still is my shining star. I will love her always.
Marty (Martin Sillsbury.)

My family and I extend our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy on the recent passing of your mother Dorothy M. Roth. Dorothy has shown us all humility…that you can move mountains, one stone at a time…and she did. She made so many positive differences in so many lives, and more times than not, it was done “behind the scenes”…quietly, gently, but powerfully. Dorothy M. Roth walked humbly…and she did “great things” with tremendous grace. She never accepted how things were…the “status quo”…rather she always looked at how something could be made better, how an obstacle could be overcome to achieve the greater good. We can feel blessed when we have the opportunity to be influenced by someone like your mother who possessed such a great and kind spirit. These influences do not end when earthly life does. Taking on new dimensions, these influences go on and possibly in more powerful ways than we can even comprehend. Dorothy M. Roth was a true treasure and will be a continuing powerful influence to so many people.
It was an utmost privilege to have known both your mother and father. I consider it a true honor to be have been a friend of Saul and Dorothy Roth.

Dear Lydia and Family,
What a terrible tragedy and loss for your family...and the world. Your mom will remain an inspiration to all those she touched while here on earth...and for years to come in unknown ways as your family honors her memory. Together with your Dad, they set the bar for others to admire and follow in their footsteps.

I will never forget the wonderful times we had together in Southern California with you and your mother and father exploring the art world and traveling to Laguna Beach together to visit the art festivals. Now that I am living in Laguna and am an artist at the Sawdust Festival this year, I am so saddened by her loss but her memory will be with us always. She was a true inspiration.

Even in in those brief visits, her energy and light were evident as she took such enormous joy from her family here. Our hearts go out to her family and coummunity at this terrible and unneccesary loss.

Dear Yolanda and Lydia,
I am so so saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing. Both Saul and Dorothy impacted on my life and I was fortunate to visit them in Allentown many years ago as a university graduate. Doors were opened for me by them and I was made to feel so at home. The website photos have been so welcome, allowing me to somehow connect with you both and your families. My sincere condolences and fondest regards from London, Zea.

I send to you all my deepest sympathy a the loss of this marvelous woman. I am Sally and Dick Ruhf's daughter and Judith Diehl and Rete Ruhf's niece, Robin. I have known Dorothy since I was a small girl and she and Saul and Lydia and Yolanda attended many family gatherings at The Ruhe Farm in Emmaus. In recent years, I saw Dorothy at my brother Jack's Memorial service and was delighted to see her and talk again about so many beloved people we had in common. She was a love, full of wit and humor and piercing intelligence. I will never forget her and her enduring kindness to my entire family.

Dear Yolanda, Lydia and all of the family,
Ruth and I, and also our two daughters Tricia and Jayne, have been fortunate enough to have known Dorothy over the years. Many times we spent hours at the poolside in Florida, or out to dinner at Dorothy's favorite restaurant, The Olive Garden. We count these hours among our cherished times with a very good friend.
We were also so very fortunate to have spent a few days at her home in Allentown and met many of her friends while there. Dorothy was such an activist in her beloved community of Allentown. She will be sorely missed by all there.
We also will miss Dorothy very much!
May she rest in Peace!

Dear Yolanda and Lydia,
So sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She was special woman and dear to my heart. I got to know your mother through my dad (Stanley Schantzenbach) and since the passing of my dad in 2000, my husband would take care of the yard work and during the winter months make sure the sidewalks were clear. Also, your mother would call me husband (Chris) to stop by when she needed some work in the inside of the house to be completed. My husband enjoyed talking with your mom. Again, my deepest sympathy to the both of you and your families.

Having helped Dorothy with her book, I became close to one of the most beautiful women God ever created. There is not enough room in the entire Internet for me to write of my love for her. Filled with life, love, and a deep wisdom, Dorothy will always have a special place in my heart. I am saddened by her departure from this world, yet joyous that she is now talking with God about the many blessings He gave her.
Rest in peace, my dearest friend.
